The US Needs To Fix The Ownership Problem.

This is How I’d Do It

I got Packy McCormick’s newsletter this week, and it blew me away. He outlined a lot of the issues in the US being related to a lack of ownership in the economy. If you own assets, your wealth is increasing.

But most people have been priced out.

I’ve written a lot about the differences between a linear economy and an exponential one, or a scarcity economy vs an abundant economy. It comes down to how scale is achieved. In a linear economy, scale is achieved by hiring people.

In an exponential economy, scale is achieved by using technology.

This has led to those with money exponentially growing their wealth. While those without money still trying to trade their time for money. It’s a losing game to play.

So how do we get people to change their behaviors or attitudes?

Most people see the disparities and blame the government. And that’s pretty fair. They spend more time fighting over what not to do than they do figuring out solutions.

But I think the government can help.

If they want to.

It’s not an easy problem to fix. Most people don’t understand how powerful the internet is. They don’t see how they can use it…
